Can one use silk powder instead of arrowroot or cornstarch? Thanks

Superfine Silk Powder is commonly used in the creation of mineral cosmetics. While it is similar looking to Arrowroot Powder or Cornstarch, its properties are not identical. It can be used in the same manner as these two powders, but substituting the ingredient is sure to change the final product's texture, adhesion, and color. You may need to change other proportions in the recipe or add additional ingredients to achieve a satisfying final product. I would suggest experimenting by replacing small portions of Cornstarch or Arrowroot Powder with Superfine Silk Powder. Begin by replacing only one small portion, note the difference in the final product, and make adjustments from there. By experimenting like this you can develop your own unique cosmetic recipe.
